History of ECC Geelong
ECCG was born on Mother's Day, 14 May, 1989. During that first worship service, 8 worshippers congregated at the downtown YMCA.
After congregating at 2 more different worship venues, the church eventually bought a property at Norlane and made it her home in March 1997.
Through the initial years of the church, she did not make much impact in the Geelong Asian Community. International students would often return to their home countries after graduation, while others found jobs in Melbourne or other cities in Australia. Nonetheless, the church continued to serve the faithful Christians in Geelong.
ECC Geelong subsequently moved a few more times, finally planting her roots on 20 Barwarre Road, Marshall in 2008. Through all these years, the Lord has helped and brought ECCG to where we are today. He has touched hearts and lives of those who have walked into this church and everyone has contributed to the health and well-being of this church in one way or another. It is our sincere desire that every worshipper in this church will actively participate in the ministry of this church and contribute a piece of history here in ECC Geelong.
